I am the owner and speech-language therapist at The Talking Place LLC. As a licensed speech therapist and life coach, I support people of all ages to decrease the struggle and frustration of communication challenges.
I am licensed in Minnesota and Iowa to offer speech and language tele-therapy services. I also offer in-person services at The Talking Place in Golden Valley, MN. As a certified Life Coach (CFLC) I offer phone and video coaching and consulting sessions across the US and Canada.
Communication is essential to the human experience. I am here to help my clients meaningfully connect to their communities by communicating with ease, effectiveness, and enjoyment.
Person-centered Approach
I use a holistic blend of speech therapy and coaching to help my clients develop the skills they need to make talking easier and more enjoyable. We work as a team to make their goals a reality.
Whether you are an adult looking to increase your communication confidence, a parent of a child who is having trouble talking, or a caregiver who is feeling exhausted and burnt out, I see you and I am ready to help.
Specialties
I have three key areas that I address through The Talking Place. My first love is working with adults and children who stutter. Stuttering therapy has changed for the better and I cannot wait to talk to you about what it looks like here.
Second, I also love working with people who struggle with a variety of communication needs including articulation, voice, and difficulty reading and spelling. I use a person-centered, family-centered approach. Talking happens in real life and so should speech therapy.
And third, I coach speech-language pathologists, teachers, parents, and anyone with a care-giving role who wants to feel more aligned and inspired in their daily lives.
